Samara Stadium is a description of a proposed football stadium to be built in the city of Samara in Russia in time for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. It will also host FC Krylia Sovetov Samara of the Russian Premier League, replacing Metallurg Stadium. It has a capacity of 45,500 spectators and for the 2018 World Cup It will have a capacity of 63,000 spectators. Authorities Samara announced their design offer at the end of 2012 with an estimated cost of 360 million dollars.

In the initial bid submitted to FIFA new stadium was to be built on an island south of the city, where there are almost no settlements or infrastructure. There was not even a bridge leading there at that time. This led to criticism and so the stadium moved north, which will be built within the city limits. Initially its area was planned to be 27 hectares, but was changed to 240 hectares, and then up to 930 hectares. The decision to extend the complex area was taken prior to any consultation with Samara citizens. Most of the buildings planned in the enlarged area are unrelated to sports.
